sRemember we told you a few weeks ago that Juliettes Interiors had been selected for an award in the prestigious International Property Awards? Well, we won the highest-scoring 5 Star interior design award in our category. We are thrilled to be the proud owners of a 5 Star, Best Interior Design, Private Residence Award for our tranquil villa in Provence, France. To say we are delighted would be an understatement. Our design team are so happy that their talent and skills have been recognised on an international stage.
Best Interior Design, Private Residence, France
The Property Awards recognise excellence in design, creativity and standards of service. The 5 Star Interior Design Award for a private residence is the highest national award available. This project was the highest-scoring 5 Star winner in its European category. As a result, it will automatically be put forward to the International Awards, and judged against winners from other regions. The design team is hopeful that project will shine through and be recognised as the World’s Best later this year.
5 Star Interior Design Excellence
For anyone who didn’t catch our original post, here’s a quick re-cap. Allow us to share the project’s story of humble beginnings, that grew into one of our most exciting ventures yet.
Our client had aquired a lovely, but somewhat faded villa in France. Originally, he bought it with the intention to use it as an occasional bolt hole. Having a firm idea of what he was looking for, he planned to manage the refurbishment himself. But this led him running into a host of problems trying to pull everything together. Later, he admitted he felt he was drowning in the project management of a villa. A villa that had he’d purchased it to provide a respite from the hurly burly of everyday life.
From Bedside Table to Interior Design
A whistle-stop visit to our showroom to source a pair of bedside tables proved a turning point for this project. Talking through ideas with Design Director Micaela Rossi, he realised that, as well as sourcing the items he was looking for, we could provide a complete interior design service and take on full responsibility for procurement, product design, space planning, installation and project management. In fact, Juliettes Interiors ended up specifying and sourcing new bathrooms and then some. Our services included all interior furniture outdoor and pool furniture, fabrics, finishes, lighting, bed linens, curtains and accessories. Not bad for something that started as an order for two nightstands.
From Interior Design to Full Project Management
The brief was straightforward. Transform a tired, dated property into a light, airy and friendly home using the finest luxury furniture, incorporating the colours of Provence. The client wanted a well-thought-out 21st Century home. In addition, it had to be sympathetic of its glorious surroundings and the needs of those spending time in it. Above all, it was to be comfortable, relaxing and sociable with a focus on quality. This was to be a sanctuary but still a place to share with family and friends.
A 5 Star Home
The finished villa really makes the most of the expansive, open plan living area. Offering open spaces for socialising, dining and entertaining, along with cosy nooks and more intimate spaces, plus a TV snug and library corner. The 4 bedrooms are all luxurious, supremely comfortable and, above all, restful. The pool house is perfect for visiting guests. It boasts two cool and airy bedrooms, stunning contemporary bathrooms and a fresh, open plan living and kitchen area. Set in extensive, spectacularly landscaped gardens, the villa is the sanctuary of peace and harmony that our client craved. A true oasis of tranquillity away from the hustle and bustle. Originally intended as a quiet retreat for the briefest of visits, he instantly fell in love with this gorgeous home. Now, he admits that he spends most of his time there.
